Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), confirmed the need to develop the cinema sector in the Kurdistan Region.
Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani said at the premiere of the Kurdish film 'Be Nishtman' or 'Landless': Through cinema, we can communicate the stories of our people's bravery, just as we can communicate the tragedies of our people to the whole world."
"I thank the 'Landless' team, thank you for this artwork, which holds many meanings and messages," he added.
On Friday Qubad Talabani appeared at the premiere of the Kurdish film 'Landless' as a confirmation of his support to the Kurdish art. The film 'Landless', starring Kurdish artists Hani Mojtahedy and Shwan Attoof, is directed by Iranian Director Turaj Aslani.
Qubad Talabani on many occasions expressed his support for artists and athletes in the Kurdistan Region and emphasized the need to develop art in all its forms.
He previously attended the 'The Songs' play which is organized by the Institute of Fine Arts in Slemani.
"A beautiful work of art by a group of talented young people... A work that speaks of loyalty, respect, and honesty," Talabani wrote on his Facebook page.
He also called for people to watch the play and said: "Please watch this play and support these young people."
