The Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) on Wednesday conveyed its warm congratulations to the Mandaean community on the occasion of their New Year, Dehwa Rabba.

The message stated:

On the occasion of the Mandaean New Year (Dehwa Rabba), we extend our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to our Mandaean brothers and sisters in Iraq and across the world.

As a historic and valued component of Iraqi society, the Mandaean community has made significant contributions to the civilisation and cultural heritage of the region. We wish them continued happiness, prosperity and peace as they mark their religious occasions and celebrations.
