KRG Cabinet's weekli session.
The Council of Ministers of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) is due to hold its regular meeting on Wednesday to consider a number of key issues.
According to a statement issued by the KRG Department of Media and Information, a copy of which was obtained by PUKMEDIA, the Council will focus on three main agenda items:
1-The federal government's procurement of this season’s wheat crop from farmers in the Kurdistan Region under the annual agricultural plan, including challenges facing the process and proposed measures to address them.
2-A decision on the retirement of members of the Kurdistan Region’s provincial councils who have fulfilled the legal requirements relating to age and length of service.
3-A proposal to suspend the benefits of the central food basket scheme for high-income households. The programme is financed by the federal Ministry of Trade through government spending, and the funds saved would be redirected to support low-income families.
