President Bafel emphasizes the significance of security cooperation with Iraq

President Bafel welcomes Hamid al-Shatri at Dabashan.
Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Hamid al-Shatri, Head of the Iraqi National Security Agency, at Dabashan, Sulaymaniyah Province.
Shalaw Kosrat Rasul, a member of the PUK's Political Bureau Executive Board, Jalal Sheikh Naji, the director of the Parastin and Zanyari/Zanyari Agency, and other security officials participated in the meeting, which covered the security situation as well as military and intelligence cooperation between the Kurdistan Region's and Iraq's security agencies.
The discussion emphasized the importance of strengthening military, intelligence, and security ties as a method of maintaining stability and removing any danger to the lives and security of the people.
The cooperative military and intelligence operations between the Kurdistan Regional Government and Baghdad were underlined by President Bafel Jalal Talabani, saying: "Positive and pleasant results have been achieved by coordination and cooperation in the past; therefore, we must continue to work to eliminate threats in the same spirit in the future."
