Asayish forces deployed at border crossings by orders from Qubad Talabani

Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), instructed authorities to deploy Asayish forces at several border crossings in a move to arrest smugglers and prevent any violation of legal instructions.

According to the information available to PUKmedia, the decision of the Deputy PM includes the deployment of Sulaymaniyah Asayish forces at the Bashmakh and Parvezkhan border crossings between Iran and the Kurdistan region, as well as several other border crossings, as of Monday August 9.

The decision aims to confront smugglers, violators of the law, and those who violate the instructions and decisions issued by the KRG.

This step is considered an important beginning for reform, the rule of law, and the protection of public rights.

The Deputy PM has recently issued some decisions in a move to make reforms and reorganize the administration in the city of Sulayamaniyah.

The decisions also included a reconstruction campaign to restore and beautify Sulaymaniyah city which has begun a few days ago, as well as seizing vehicles with no registration papers along with other reforms. read more
