Iraqi Parliament discusses problems facing women in Kurdistan Region

Rezan Sheikh Dler, a deputy of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan bloc in the Iraqi Coucil of Representatives, received on Thursday Rehab Al-Abouda, Advisor of the President of the Iraqi Parliament for Women's Affairs, at the parliament's office in Sulaymaniyah.
During the meeting, Rehab Al-Abouda praised the development in the Kurdistan Region, especially the laws relating to women.
On the visit, Representative Rezan Sheikh Dler told PUKmedia, "the meeting discussed the problems facing women in Iraqi Kurdistan and ways to solve these obstacles and advance the role of women in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq in general."
She added, "the official visit dealt with the situation of women in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, and the anti-violence law in the Kurdistan Region, which has not been implemented in Iraq so far," adding that Rehab Al-Abouda, praised the great development in the city of Sulaymaniyah.
