Darbaz Kosrat Rasul discusses Iraqi elections with French Consul

On Saturday, Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, Executor at the Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), welcomed Olivier Decottignies, the French Consul General in the Kurdistan Region, in Erbil.

 

The meeting discussed the issue of the upcoming Iraqi elections scheduled for October 10 and the Kurdish role in the election, preparations and the role of all parties, with the aim of conducting the process transparently.

 

The situation in the Kurdistan Region and the relationship between the political parties were another topic of the meeting, and Darbaz Kosrat Rasul expressed his vision for the issues, reiterating that the situation and its solutions need tolerance between the political parties and that everyone should play their positive role.

 

In return, the French consulate expressed views, agreeing that tolerance is important for the Kurdistan Region internally and will have a positive impact on solving problems.
