Iraqi President, Qubad Talabani discuss the implementation of 2021 budget law

Iraq - Baghdad, on Tuesday the President of the Republic of Iraq, Dr. Barham Salih, at the Peace Palace in Baghdad, received the Kurdistan Region delegation headed by the Deputy Prime Minister, Qubad Talabani.

 

In a meeting, the importance of strengthening constructive cooperation between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government in all fields has been discussed. 

 

The discussions aimed to strengthen the security and stability of the country, resolve financial issues in accordance with the constitution, implement the obligations contained in the general budget law, secure the rights of citizens, meet their needs, and ensure decent living conditions.

 

President Salih said that the solutions come through understanding serious dialogue and a common desire to achieve the interests of citizens, pointing to the importance of resolving outstanding issues, including the issue of the budget following the constitution and in a manner that preserves the rights of the Iraqi people, including the rights of citizens of employees and retirees in the Kurdistan region.

 

At the end of the meeting, they discussed the political and economic developments, coordinating efforts to confront the remains of ISIS, and cutting the way for its cells to target some towns and villages.
