British Defense Ministry: We offer our continued support to the Peshmerga

The Ministry of Peshmerga in the Kurdistan Region received a message of condolence from the British Ministry of Defense on the recent martyrdom of a group of Peshmerga during their heroic confrontation of ISIS terrorists, west of Kirkuk governorate.

 

The condolence message is as follows:

 

On behalf of the Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom and of the British Consulate General Erbil, I would like to offer our condolences to the minister, Deputy Minister and all the personnel of the Ministry of Peshmerga following the sad death of the brave Peshmerga martyrs yesterday. We also remember the wounded Peshmerga and their colleagues and families at this terrible time. 

 

We recognise the challenges faced in providing security in the Disputed Territories and welcome any moves to improve coherence between the KRI Security Forces and be Iraqi Security Forces. Our common fight against terrorism and insecurity remains challenging and we offer our continued support to the Peshmerga in its endeavor to provide a secure and stable environment for all the citizens of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
