US remains committed to standing with Peshmerga to defeat ISIS: Consulate

The U.S. Consulate General in Erbil on Sunday offered its condolences to the Kurdistan Regional Government and to the families of the victims of the Peshmerga forces who were killed during an attack by the terrorist organization ISIS in the Kirkuk governorate.

 

"The U.S. Consulate General in Erbil offers its condolences to the Kurdistan Regional Government and the families of Peshmergas killed during an ISIS attack in Pirde (Altun Kupry)," the consulate said.

 

"The United States remains committed to standing with the Peshmerga and other Iraqi security forces to ensure that ISIS is completely defeated," the statement added.

 

The Ministry of Peshmerga in the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) announced on Saturday that Peshmerga forces thwarted an attack by ISIS terrorists on Peshmerga points between Dibis and Pirde (Altun Kupri) in Kirkuk.
