Iraqi President: We must be united in support of Iraqi armed forces

His Excellency the President of the Republic of Iraq, Barham Salih, stressed the need to unite ranks to support the  Iraqi armed forces, and not underestimate the threat of ISIS terrorist organization.

 

The President said in a tweet on Twitter:

"ISIS attacked Iraqi Army, Peshmerga, Hashd posts in Baghdad, Kirkuk, Diyala. We cannot afford to be complacent as terrorists’ threat remains potent. We must be united in support of Iraqi armed forces, maintain effective International support to eradicate terror across the region."

 

It is noteworthy that a number of ISIS terrorists launched an attack on Saturday early hours against the Kurdish Peshmerga forces between Dibis and Prde (Altun Kupri) district in Kirkuk governorate, which resulted in the death of three Peshmerga and two others were wounded.
