Pictures: The first batch of Pfizer vaccine arrives in Iraq

The Iraqi Minister of Health and Environment, Hassan Al-Tamimi, announced on Sunday, that the first batch of the American Pfizer anti-coronavirus vaccine have arrived in Iraq.
Al-Tamimi said in a statement that 50 thousand doses of the Pfizer vaccine arrived in Iraq, which is the first batch of the vaccine and will be available beginning from Monday through 50 outlets in Baghdad and all provinces.
He also revealed that another 200,000 doses of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine will arrive on Sunday.
Iraq has previously received 336,000 doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine and 50,000 of the Chinese-made Sinopharm and the vaccination campaign was launched through 700 outlets across the country.
Iraq expects to receive 21 million and a half doses of vaccines from Pfizer, AstraZeneca, and Sinopharm this month.
So far, Iraq has recorded over 918,000 coronavirus cases with more than 809,000 recoveries and over 14,600 deaths from the virus.
