The PUK: Judge Muhammad Al-Oreibi will remain immortal in the conscience of our people

The Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) sent a message of condolences to family of the late Iraqi judge, Muhammad Al-Oreibi.
Mohammed Oreibi, the judge of the criminal court that tried Saddam Hussein and Baath figures for the anfal crimes and the bombardment of Halabja with chemical weapons and a number of other files, died Friday after being infected with coronavirus.
The condolence message said:
It is with great sadness and sorrow that we have received the news of the departure of Iraqi Judge Muhammad Al-Araibi, Judge of the Iraqi High Criminal Court.
By presiding over the trial of the criminals of the genocide of Anfal and Halabja tragedy, Judge Muhammad Al-Araibi recorded for himself a historical pride that remains immortal in the conscience of our people.
We offer sincere condolences to his generous family and we pray to the Almighty God to grant them patience and solace, and may the deceased rest in peace.
We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return
