Kirkuk holds Second International Short Film Festival

The administration of the Second Kirkuk International Film Festival For Short Films decided to hold the festival on the evening of February 6 at the Time Center Mall's cinema hall in Rahim Awa in the city of Kirkuk.
The festival is scheduled to last for two days.
Sardar Rashid Zangana, the festival’s coordinator, said that the festival is the second of its kind and it will be held by the Kirkuk Foundation for Culture and Arts in coordination with Al-Kitab University and the Time Center Mall.
Thirteen documentaries, fiction and animation films will be shown during the festival, and the winning films will be selected the festival’s jury. Three of the films participating in the festival are Kurdish films.
Zangana indicated that 96 films reached the festival’s supreme committee from Arab countries, France and the UK, where 13 films were screened among them to participate in the festival’s competitions.
It is noteworthy that the First Kirkuk Film Festival, in its first edition, was held last year through video conference.
