KRG delegation to meet with Iraqi Finance Committee

On Sunday, a delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) will head to the federal capital, Baghdad, to discuss the Kurdistan Region's dues in the draft federal budget law for 2021.

 

An informed source said, during a special statement to PUKmedia, that a delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government will head, today to the capital Baghdad to discuss the issue of fixing Kurdistan Region's dues in the draft federal budget law for 2021.

 

The KRG’s delegation includes, KRG Finance Ministers, Awat Sheikh Janab, and Minister of Planning Dar Rashid and the Minister of State for negotiating affairs with Baghdad, Khalid Shwani and Cabinet Office Chief Omid Sabah.

 

MP Jamal Kochar said during a special statement to PUKmedia: "The delegation of the Kurdistan Region will arrive this afternoon in the capital, Baghdad, and after the meeting of the Parliamentary Finance Committee with the governors, the committee will meet with the delegation of the Kurdistan Regional Government."

 

He added: "The Finance Committee will discuss the Kurdistan Region's dues in the budget with the KRG delegation."

 

According to MP Kochar, the Iraqi Parliamentary Finance Committee will meet on Sunday with the governors to discuss plans for developing regions and the project to establish 1,000 schools and distribute them to the governorates, in addition to receiving the proposals and opinions of the governors on the draft federal budget law for 2021.
