Iraq's supreme religious authority condemns Baghdad explosions

The supreme religious authority, Mr. Ali al-Sistani, on Thursday condemned the terrorist bombing that killed dozens of citizens and wounded many others in the eastern gate in central Baghdad, calling on "the competent security services to intensify their efforts and do more to maintain security and thwart the plans of the enemies.

 

Once again, the savage terrorists targeted a gathering of innocent civilians with a double bombing in Baghdad, resulting in dozens of martyrs and many wounded and injured, in a terrible scene that hurted everyone.

 

We extend our deepest and sincere condolences to the families of the martyrs and pray to Almighty God to ensure a speedy recovery, and we call on the competent security services to intensify their efforts and do more to maintain security and to thwart the plans of the enemies who.
