Iraqi President appreciates the role of Iraqi Clans in supporting government's efforts

Iraqi President, Dr. Barham Salih, at Baghdad Palace received on Monday, a delegation of Baghdad tribal sheiks, in the presence of MP Mohammed al-Karbouli.

 

At the outset of the meeting, Dr. Barham Salih praised the role of Iraqi clans and tribes in supporting the state’s efforts to fortify the rule of law and strengthen the social fabric among the people. Stressing the need to enhance Baghdad’s stability and the security of its people.

 

Adding to that;  his Excellency referred to the important activities of clans and tribes in achieving societal reconciliation, rejecting violence and armed manifestations outside the framework of the law, strengthening civil and societal peace, and combating conflict, divisions, and hate speech launched by parties that do not want good for the country. 

 

For their part, the clans explained the overall situation of the capital and the Baghdad belt areas and the problems facing its people. Besides, his Excellency affirmed his support and endeavor to overcome these obstacles and issues in order to provide security, safety, and services to its children, while the delegation expressed its deep thanks and appreciation to the President for his continued follow-up and interest in their condition.
