Kurdish man mummifiers dead animals and turns them into beautiful art works

A young man from Garmian region of the Kurdistan Region mummifies dead animals and turns them into beautiful art pieces to be used as decorations and other objects.
Kamaran Salam Arif, who works in mummifying dead animals, pets and wild birds, told PUKmedia: "It has been 4 years since I first started working in mummifying pets and wild animals, my job helps in developing handicrafts business in Garmian Region, I also make a living with it."
"People bring their already dead animals to me asking me to mummify them. Each animal takes 4 to 5 days to be mummified."
Kamaran said that his business needs more support, "If I manage to get support from any party or organization, perhaps I would be able to develop my business more and my products would be more preserved."
He also pointed out that he is planning to open his own exhibition in the Garmian region to show his works.
He uses only animals that are already dead and does not hunt or kill living animals.
