An employee has reportedly been jailed in London for eight months for the theft from Buckingham Palace of dozens of medals, signed photographs, and other items. The 37-year-old admitted three counts of theft, PA news agency said.
According to the German News Agency (dpa), police had discovered a "significant quantity" of stolen items during a search of his quarters at the palace. Some of the goods were worth between 10,000 and 100,000 pounds ($13,500 - $135,000).
The man sold the stolen goods, including two prestigious medals and a photo album of the royal state banquet for US President Donald Trump, well below their value on Ebay.
He had worked for the palace since 2015.
