Nalia Corporation CEO arrested in Erbil

On Friday morning, security forces in Erbil International Airport arrested CEO of Nalia Corporation upon his arrival to the Kurdistan Region from Sweden.
Dyari Haji Mohammed, Director of Metro Center for Journalists Rights and Advocacy, told PUKmedia: "On Friday Morning, Awat Ali, CEO of Nalia Media Corporation, was arrested by security forces at the Erbil International Airport upon his arrival to the Kurdistan Region."
Nalia Media Corporation is the parent company behind Kurdish opposition TV channel, NRT.
Director of Metro Center also said: "There has been a number of complaints against the NRT channel but so far, its not clear what the CEO is being arrested for."
