PUK Politburo Member Darbaz Kosrat Rasul's meeting with Iranian CG Faramarz Asadi.
Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, a member of the Political Bureau and Head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan's (PUK) Relations Bureau, met on Saturday, 11 July 2026, with Faramarz Asadi, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Kurdistan Region.
The meeting focused on the latest regional developments, relations between the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the Federal Government of Iraq, as well as the ongoing negotiations between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Discussing the political situation in the Kurdistan Region, particularly efforts to form the new KRG cabinet, Rasul stressed the need for all political parties to return to the negotiating table in a spirit of national responsibility.
He underscored the importance of establishing a strong government based on genuine partnership, consensus among all political parties and communities in the Kurdistan Region.
