Qubad Talabani Marks Anniversary of Balisan and Sheikh Wasanan Chemical Attack

Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, issued a message on the 39th anniversary of the chemical weapons attack on the Balisan and Sheikh Wasanan areas carried out by the Ba’athist regime.

In his message, Talabani said: “On the 39th anniversary of the chemical attack on the Balisan area, the Khoshnawti Valley and Sheikh Wasanan, we proudly and respectfully commemorate the martyrs of this heinous crime committed by the former Ba’athist regime.”

He added: “We pay tribute with respect and reverence to the families and loved ones of these noble martyrs.”
