KRG Interior Ministry: Kurdistan Region Targeted by Drone Attacks for Second Time Since Ceasefire

The Kurdistan Region was targeted by four drones on Tuesday, 14 April 2025. The Ministry of Interior of the Kurdistan Regional Government stated that this marked the second such incident since the ceasefire agreement was announced.

In a statement, the Ministry said: “Following the ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran, this is the second time the Kurdistan Region has been targeted by an attack involving explosive-laden drones.”

It added: “Today, Tuesday, 14 April 2025, at different times, an attack was carried out using four explosive-laden drones against the Kurdistan Region.”

The statement stressed “the Kurdistan Region’s firm position that it has never been a party to any war or conflict,” and called for “an end to attempts to undermine the Region’s stability and the security of its citizens.”
