Sulaymaniyah Kurdistan Region Health

Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, visited the General Directorate of Health in Sulaymaniyah to review the challenges and shortcomings facing the health sector.

During the visit, he met with Sabah Hawrami, Director General of Health in Sulaymaniyah, along with several senior officials from the directorate.

At the meeting, Deputy PM Talabani expressed his appreciation to the directors, doctors and staff working in the health sector across Sulaymaniyah province. He noted that despite the many problems and crises they face, their dedication, hard work and professional expertise have ensured that health services continue without disruption.

He added that the Sulaymaniyah health sector has become a leading example in providing services to citizens across the Kurdistan Region and Iraq. The Deputy Prime Minister said he is proud of the health sector in Sulaymaniyah and pleased that it remains in capable and responsible hands.

The meeting also reviewed new plans prepared by the Directorate of Health aimed at improving services for citizens. In this regard, Talabani expressed his support for implementing these initiatives and affirmed his readiness to help provide the necessary equipment and resources required for their implementation.

In another part of the meeting, participants discussed the complex situation in the region and its potential impact on the health sector. They also reviewed preparations and measures being taken to address any possible developments. The Deputy Prime Minister was assured that the health sector is fully prepared to respond to any emergency situation.
