Georgian Parliament Intends to Strengthen Ties With PUK

The Foreign Relations Committee of the Georgian Parliament has conveyed their country's desire to establish diplomatic ties with the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), recognising its significant influence in both Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
The PUK delegation, headed by Leadership Council member Salar Sarhad met with Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Georgian Parliament and member of the Political Bureau of Georgian Dream. Sarhad hoped that Georgia would elevate ties with both the PUK and the Kurdistan Region.
For his part, Mr. Samkharadze expressed his joy regarding the inaugural conference of the Kurds of the Caucasus and the visit of the PUK delegation to Georgia. He reaffirmed his country's desire to enhance their relations with the Kurdistan Region and the PUK, recognising its significant influence in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
