Dr. Abdullatif Jamal Rashid, President of the Republic of Iraq, paid a visit to Hatin Elementary School on Wednesday as part of his trip to the Nineveh Province. Hatin Elementary School is one of the oldest schools in the province and was used by ISIS terrorists as a prison and a place to carry out executions against civilians.

The Republic's President declared that the school helps students learn and grow in terms of their abilities, talents, and knowledge. The reconstruction of the school was overseen by the President Rashid while maintaining its historical and academic significance.

Majid al-Shabaki, a local journalist in the city of Mosul, stated to PUKMEDIA that President Rashid's visit to Mosul, and particularly to the historic Hatin School, holds crucial meaning for restoring the city to its normal state and getting rid of the history of ISIS terrorists. As ISIS had used the school as a place of incarceration and was responsible for destroying the majority of the city's historical, archaeological, and cultural sites disseminating fear and terror while murdering innocent civilians.

Shabaki claims that President Rashid's historic visit was warmly received by the Yazidis, Shabaks, Christians, Kurds, and Arabs.
