President Bafel: We have no choice but dialogue

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met with Qais al-Khazali, the secretary general of Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq Movement, in Baghdad.

During the meeting, the two sides stressed the need to unite national efforts and continue constructive dialogues to succeed in the political process in Iraq and implement the government's program that includes providing services, law enforcement, and stability.

Governing the country and maintaining stability was another topic of discussion and President Bafel referred to coordination and more joint work between political forces and parties and said: “The situation in Iraq rejects individuality in power and governance." "Therefore, all parties must participate in managing the state with a responsible spirit and to take serious and effective steps in order to address the issues."

"We have no choice but dialogue and understanding and we must all work in that spirit," he added.
