UNAMI chief met with Muqtada al-Sadr in Najaf ​

The Special Representative of the Secretary-General for the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, confirmed today, Friday, that her meeting with the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, went well.

Plasschaert said in a press conference after her meeting with Muqtada al-Sadr in Al-Hanana, “ discussed with Sayyed Al-Sadr the importance of finding a solution to the political crisis.”

Plasschaert arrived Friday at the office of the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, in Najaf.
