Iraq 02:27 PM - 2022-07-27

Ghiath Surchi, Head of the Media Office of the Nineveh Organizations Center of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), confirmed on Wednesday that the Turkish Consulate in Mosul had been targeted by 4 missiles.

Surchi told PUKmedia, "The Turkish Consulate in Mosul was targeted by 4 missiles on Tuesday night, without causing any casualties and the residents of the al-Hadba neighborhood left their homes in anticipation of repeated attacks on the consulate."

"The launch site is from areas under the control of the Popular Mobilization Forces in the Nineveh Governorate," he added.

For its part, the Turkish Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the attack on its consulate general in Mosul, hoping that those responsible for the attack will be brought to justice as soon as possible.
