President Bafel, Khazali discuss formation of next Iraqi government

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, meets with Qais Khazali, Secretary-General of the Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq in Baghdad.

The meeting discussed the latest efforts to form the new Iraqi government and resolve the issues and emphasized the need to complete legal and constitutional procedures to create a strong government that can serve the people, the country, and supreme interests.

President Bafel stressed the PUK's efforts to form the next Iraqi government and said that "We support consensus, compromise and stability from the beginning because we believe that these are the key solutions towards the problems. Today with the same perspective and strategy which former Iraq’s President Mam Jalal had adopted, we lust to follow them in order to collectively serve the high objectives."
