President Bafel to tribe figures: You have played an important role in promoting unity and coexistence

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), describes the role of tribes and social figures as important in promoting unity and coexistence.

President Bafel received on Saturday Mustafa Ghafoor Agha Hamwandi, a prominent figure of Chamchamal district of Slemani governorate, as well as some personalities of the Hamwandi tribe at the PUK's headquarters in Dabashan-Slemani.

The meeting was attended by Shalaw Ali Askari, Administrator at the PUK's Political Bureau, PUK's Political Bureau Members Shalaw Kosrat Rasul and Pola Sirwan Talabani, Political Bureau Members, and Rebwar Omar, Head of the PUK's Chamchamal Organization Center.

During the meeting, President Bafel praised Mustafa Ghafoor Agha and the Hamwandi tribe for playing an important role in deepening the spirit of unity and brotherhood in the region and said: "The PUK does not belong to us, but to the PUK's loyal people. It is them who will continue the PUK's path. Our door is open to anyone who wants to serve through this struggling party."

The PUK President spoke about the role and status of tribes and social figures and said: "You have played an important role in preserving the lofty values of Kurdish culture and promoting unity and coexistence. The PUK respects and appreciates your efforts."

In turn, Mustafa Ghafoor Agha Hamwandi thanked President Bafel Jalal Talabani for his constant support and efforts for the public's interests.
