Kurds designated as Iraq's best basketballers

Iraq's Naft Club won the title of Iraqi club's Basketball Championship for its fifth season in a row.
Naft won over Shurta Club with an 89 - 77 score and raised this year's title.
The talented Kurdish player Farid Raad is one of Naft's team. Raad has been playing for Naft for two seasons and won with the team in both seasons.
Farid was an Iraqi national team player in 2010 and 2011 and participated in the Asian Championship in Vietnam.
Meanwhile, the Kurdish Zinar Hoshiar who plays for Zakho club won the championship's best young player title. And the Kurdish Muhammad Abdulkhaliq, who plays for Iraq's Shimal Gas Club, received best player award in giving assists.
