Sanandaj becomes the top producer governorate in Iran

The Directorate of Agriculture in the Bijar district in Sanandaj Governorate of eastern Kurdistan announced that Bijar produces 200,000 tons of wheat annually and has become the most productive city in Iran.
Peyman Qamari, Director of agriculture in the Bijar district, stated that during the past ten years, Bijar has become the largest Iranian city in wheat production and produces 200,000 tons of wheat annually.
Qamari explained that there are 70 poultry farms in the district, which raise one million and 200,000 chickens annually.
