Slemani hosts the Arab Fencing Championship

For the first time in history, the city of Slemani hosts the Arab Fencing Championship.

The championship activities are scheduled to take place from the 9th to the 13th of next December, in the indoor halls of the Slemani Sports Club, while preparations are in full swing to conduct the tournament.

The tournament will be held for the first time in 30 years in Iraq with the participation of 10 countries.

Fencing is a group of three related combat sports. The three disciplines in modern fencing are the foil, the épée, and the sabre; winning points are made through the weapon's contact with an opponent.
