Iraq announces 1,247 new cases of Covid-19, 24 deaths

The Iraqi Ministry of Health confirmed 1,247 new coronavirus cases on Sunday, raising the total number to 2,046,274 in the country.

The Ministry also said that 24 more people died from the virus during the day, bringing the death toll to 22,961.

2,139 patients recovered from the disease bringing the total recovery cases to 1,986,578 in Iraq, the ministry added.

The new cases were recorded after 16,505 suspected cases were tested across Iraq during the past 24 hours.

The ministry also said that the total number of citizens who received the coronavirus vaccine has reached 5,559,945 citizens.
