Sulaymaniyah Health Directorate opens largest vaccination center

Slemani General Directorate of Health called on citizens to visit vaccination centers and receive anti-Coronavirus vaccines.

In a press conference, Dr. Sabah Hawrami, Director General of Sulaymaniyah Health, stated, "We call on all citizens not to hesitate and visit vaccination centers to receive the anti-Coronavirus vaccines because it is the best way to confront the virus."

"We opened four centers to vaccinate teachers before the beginning of the new academic year. Additionally, the health directorate will soon open the largest center to vaccinate citizens," he added.

Hawrami calls on citizens to adhere to the health instructions and to receive anti-Coronavirus..

He declared that all types of anti-Coronavirus vaccines are safe and effective and have good results in reducing the impact of the virus.

The coronavirus infection rates have recently surged in Iraq after the outbreak of the Delta variant, with doctors continuously calling for people to take the coronavirus vaccine to help in curbing infection rates. 

Iraq has authorized the use of Pfizer, AstraZeneca, and Sinopharm vaccines, and nearly 3,633,000 people have received the coronavirus vaccines in the Region so far, and the number keeps increasing. 

So far, Iraq has recorded over 1,908,000 coronavirus cases, with more than 1,756,000 recoveries and over 21,000 deaths from the virus.
