The Ministry of Culture and Youth of the Kurdistan Region has addressed a letter to the Interior Ministry to ban the foreign artists' concerts that did not receive approval from the Ministry of Culture.
In a letter sent to the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Culture asked that no foreign artists be allowed to hold concerts in the Kurdistan Region without the approval of the Ministry of Culture and the Artists' Syndicate.
The Ministry did not state the aim behind the letter but the request coincides with the concert of the renowned Arab singer Elissa.
Elissa's concert is scheduled to take place on June 25 in Erbil and according to information available to PUKmedia, the concert's tickets were sold for several hundred dollars.
