Kurdish politician competes to enter the German parliament

The Green Party in Munich held elections to choose its candidate who will participate in the upcoming elections of the German Federal Parliament.
The results showed that the Kurdish-born politician, Vanessa Rashid, won 48 votes, one more than her veteran Green Party rival, Margarete Bause.
Bause headed the Green Party for long periods in the region of Bavaria, became the party president in the Bavarian Parliament, and was a member of the German Federal Parliament for four years for the Green Party.
During the event, Vanessa Rashid won enough votes to win a seat in the German Federal Parliament, in the elections to be held on the 26th of next September, then she will displace Margaret Bowie and take her place.
