Baghdad: Iraqi Health Minister resigns from his positions

Iraq - Baghdad, The Minister of Health, Hassan Al-Tamimi, on Tuesday, submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi.
A source told PUKmedia that Federal Minister of Health Hassan Al-Tamimi submitted his resignation to Al-Kadhimi, during the cabinet session, during which the Cabinet voted on the recommendations of the investigative committee regarding the Ibn Al-Khatib hospital fire.
For his part, the media office of the Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, said today, Tuesday, that Al-Kadhimi approved the resignation request submitted by the Minister of Health and Environment Mr. Hassan Al-Tamimi, after the issuance of the report on the investigation committee formed against the background of the Ibn Al-Khatib hospital incident.
The cabinet voted on the recommendations of the investigative committee that was formed according to Cabinet Resolution (140 of 2021) regarding the Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital fire accident and included the imposition of several disciplinary penalties against the director of Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital, his administrative assistant, and the civil defense official, removing them from their positions and removing them from their positions.
The hospital director has a functional degree, and the decisions included removing the Director-General of Al-Rusafa Health from his position, and ending the case of withdrawal of the hand stipulated in Cabinet Resolution No. (140 of 2021) against the Minister of Health and the Governor of Baghdad.
