KRG delegation to visit Baghdad Wednesday afternoon

A high-ranking delegation headed by Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), is scheduled to visit the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, on Wednesday.

 

Samir Hawrami, a spokesman for the KRG's Deputy Prime Minister said during a special statement to PUKmedia that a high government delegation will visit the capital Baghdad on Wednesday afternoon.

 

He added that the delegation will continue its dialogues with the Iraqi federal government to reach an agreement on the outstanding issues, especially fixing the financial dues for the Kurdistan Region in the federal budget for 2021.

 

On Tuesday, the PUK, KDP and Movement for Change party held a tripartite meeting in Kurdistan Region's capital Erbil, during which the participants decided to send a senior KRG delegation to Baghdad to dialogue with the Iraqi government and parties to address the outstanding issues.
