Deputy Prime Minister Reaffirms Support for Garmian Security Forces

Deputy PM Qubad Talabani met with representatives of Garmian security forces.

Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, met with representatives of all security forces in the Garmian Administration during his visit to the region.

During the meeting, held on Wednesday, 15 July 2026, Talabani praised the security forces for carrying out their duties effectively and urged them to remain more vigilant than ever in protecting the lives, property and safety of citizens.

Highlighting Garmian’s strategic importance, particularly its geographical location, the Deputy Prime Minister stressed the need for greater coordination among the security agencies to help prevent any disruptive or terrorist activities in the region.

After hearing their feedback and discussing the challenges they face, Talabani pledged his full support to ensure the security forces have the assistance they need to carry out their duties more effectively.
