Iraqi President Nizar Amedi received a congratulatory message from UK's King Charles III on the occasion of assuming office as President of the Republic.

In his message, King Charles III affirmed that the United Kingdom attaches great importance to its relationship with Iraq and expressed his country’s commitment to further strengthening the bonds of friendship between the two countries and peoples.

The King also welcomed the positive progress achieved by Iraq in recent years, particularly in strengthening security, expressing hope for continued joint efforts to preserve the gains secured through many sacrifices in Iraq and to further promote stability for the Iraqi people and the wider region.

He further praised the close cooperation between Iraq and the United Kingdom in addressing the effects of climate change and water security challenges, underscoring the importance of continued joint efforts to build a safer and more prosperous future for both countries.
