PUK President Pledges Support for New PM Following Parliamentary Confidence Vote

PUK President Bafel Jalal Talabani.
Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), has congratulated Ali Faleh al-Zaidi and his cabinet on securing the confidence of the Iraqi Parliament, reaffirming the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan’s support for the new government’s national and service programmes.
The following is PUK President’s statement:
Your Excellency Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi, Prime Minister of the Federal Government,
Esteemed Ministers,
I extend my warmest congratulations to you on the occasion of gaining the confidence of the Council of Representatives, and I wish you every success in your new duties.
The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) is eager to support you in ensuring the success of the government’s national and service projects, as well as in unifying our efforts to overcome challenges and resolve outstanding issues.
