Iraqi President Reaffirms Commitment to Following the Path of President Mam Jalal

Iraqi President Nizar Amedi's meeting with the Secretariat Bureau of President Mam Jalal.

Iraqi President Nizar Amedi received a delegation from the Secretariat Bureau of President Mam Jalal at Baghdad Palace on Monday, 11 May 2026.

The delegation congratulated President Amedi on assuming office, while the President expressed his appreciation for their congratulations and kind sentiments.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the general situation in the country and the ongoing efforts to form the next government.

President Amedi affirmed that the Presidency remains in continuous contact with all national parties and political forces in order to facilitate the formation of a government that reflects the aspirations of the Iraqi people and dedicates all its capabilities to serving citizens.

He also reaffirmed his commitment to following the path of President Mam Jalal in working to bridge differences among political forces on the basis of national responsibility, in a manner that serves the country’s interests and fulfils the aspirations of its people.
