President Amedi Receives Congratulatory Message from South Korean Counterpart

Iraqi President Nizar Amedi received a message at the Salam Palace in Baghdad from the President of the Republic of South Korea, Lee Jae-myung. The message, conveyed by the South Korean Ambassador to Iraq, Lee Jun-il, extended congratulations to His Excellency on the occasion of his assumption of office.

In his message, the South Korean President reaffirmed his country’s commitment to strengthening and advancing bilateral relations with Iraq across a range of sectors, in pursuit of the shared interests of both nations. He also expressed South Korea’s desire to expand economic and investment cooperation, as well as to support Iraq’s reconstruction and development efforts.

President Amedi, in turn, asked the Korean Ambassador to convey his greetings to President Lee Jae-myung, underscoring the strength of Iraqi–Korean relations and the commitment to further develop and broaden bilateral cooperation in line with the aspirations of the two friendly peoples for progress and prosperity.

President Amedi Receives the British Ambassador  



President Amedi met with the British Ambassador to Iraq, Irfan Siddiq.
During the meeting, he reaffirmed Iraq’s commitment to strengthening and enhancing its relations with the United Kingdom across various fields and to expanding cooperation in a manner that serves the mutual interests of the two friendly countries. The regional situation was also discussed, with an emphasis on the importance of de-escalating tensions and supporting international peace and security.

For his part, the British Ambassador reiterated his country’s support for Iraq’s efforts to consolidate security and stability, noting Iraq’s pivotal role in promoting peace in the region.
