Qubad Talabani Announces Advisory Council to Advance Structural Reorganisation in Badinan

Qubad Talabani, Supervisor of the General Secretariat Bureau of President Mam Jalal, met on Thursday, 30 April 2026, at the Political Bureau headquarters in Erbil with senior members of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) from the Badinan region. The meeting forms part of ongoing efforts to revitalise and restructure the party’s institutions.
Discussions focused on advancing the reorganisation of the PUK’s structures in Badinan. Talabani noted that the party’s priority at this stage is to consolidate its presence in the region, adding that it welcomes fresh ideas and proposals from members in Badinan, drawing on their experience and capabilities.
Following extensive deliberations and a review of the proposals presented, Talabani announced the formation of a dedicated advisory council linked directly to the President Mam Jalal’s Secretariat Bureau. The body will provide guidance to the PUK leadership on improving the management of party affairs in Badinan and reinforcing its standing in the region.
