On the occasion of Iraq’s National Day, President Dr Abdullatif Jamal Rashid issued a message highlighting the importance of national unity, shared responsibility, and working together for the country’s well-being.
In a statement posted on his X account, President Rashid extended his “warmest congratulations and blessings” to the Iraqi people. He reflected on the major transformations Iraq has experienced over the decades, including the end of the British Mandate, the country’s independence, the establishment of an independent state, and its accession to the League of Nations, which opened new opportunities for freedom and democracy.
President Rashid emphasised that the day serves as a reminder of the need to unify national ranks, assume responsibility, and collaborate for the greater good of Iraq and its citizens. He called for the promotion of security and stability, and for building a prosperous future in which all Iraqis can enjoy a dignified life.
