PUK MP: Real Estate Return Law Moves to Presidency for Approval

A representative of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) bloc announced today, Sunday, that the draft legislation on restoring real estate to its rightful owners has been submitted to the Presidency of the Republic of Iraq.

MP Dilan Ghafour told PUKMEDIA that the draft law, which pertains to certain decisions of the now-dissolved Revolutionary Command Council (RCC) has been forwarded to the Presidency of the Republic of Iraq for approval following its passage in the Iraqi parliament.

She added that the law will come into effect once it receives presidential approval, and that the PUK bloc is actively monitoring the legal procedures to ensure its implementation and the return of properties to their original owners.
