PUK, KSDP Underscore Importance of Enhancing Ties

On Saturday, November 30, 2024, the negotiation delegation of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), headed by Politburo Member Qubad Talabani, convened with Mohammed Haji Mahmoud, the leader of the Kurdistan Socialist Democratic Party (KSDP).
The meeting convened in Sulaymaniyah, attended by several members of the Political Bureau and Leadership Council of both parties, addressed the political landscape in the Kurdistan Region, relations between the two sides, and preparations for the post-Kurdistan parliamentary elections phase.
Regarding the first session of the new Kurdistan Parliament, scheduled for December 2, 2024, both parties concurred on the necessity of effective coordination to enhance understandings between the parties and better serve the citizens of the Kurdistan Region moving forward.
The meeting also underscored the importance of enhancing ties between the two sides and improving cooperation for the next stages.
