IHEC Announces Date for Appointing Polling Staff for Next Elections

The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) is scheduled to conduct a draw on August 11 to choose polling staff for the Kurdistan Parliamentary elections.
The IHEC's spokesperson, Jumana al-Ghalai, told PUKMEDIA that the Board of Commissioners has approved the holding of a drawing to select polling staff for the Kurdistan Parliamentary elections. The draw will be held on August 11, 2024, in Erbil Province.
Al-Ghalai stated that the elections require a minimum of 43,000 polling staff. These individuals will be trained on voting mechanisms and procedures to ensure that the elections are carried out with the utmost transparency, integrity, neutrality, and justice.
The IHEC launched an application process for individuals interested in working as polling officials for the next Kurdistan Parliamentary elections, which will take place from July 4 to July 23, 2024, with a focus on those who were unable to apply earlier.
